New Paris Stationary

Been abscent a bit,  our world is spinning,  I'm battling allergies, which is nusiance....    Don't like being slowed down when we're so busy "job hunting".

But meanwhile here are my new favourite stationary set with flat notes!   Envelopes are created from vintage dictionary,  inner flap is lined with a classic striped paper, and the flat notes are matted and compliment a main color in the striped paper.   Each is stamped with a beautiful warm and friendly stamp which reads,  "I Love Paris in the Springtime".   These would make a wonderful gift.   I do have more planned.

Latest Happenings!

Hello Everyone!  Hope you all had a very Happy Easter.  We missed spending time with family this year.  Change can be very hard at times.  Time is flying by quickly, and hoping everything in our life gets resolved soon. 

Meanwhile I am keeping busy with new creations, going for long walks, and we're still on the job hunt, which seems to be a daunting task each day.

Here's a peek at some of my Easter week activities! After tags are stamped, edges are inked, and ribbons and fibres attached.  Paris tags are lightly colored for accent to highlight a portion.  Kind of make the tag pop with a touch of color! The prima flowers are watercolored giving a bit of dimension.  I layered them and added a gem center, on some I have used button centers.

Sets of Assorted Tags

Hi everyone,  (still job hunting) heres a look at the finished tags.  Was happy with how they turned out. Working on a Wedding Tag order!   Its a cool day so good to be inside with a lovely project to work on, spa music playing, candle lit..... all set to go!  Lots of time to reflect!

Spent a Lovely Sunday creating 12 dozen tags.  Included in the sets will be Birthday, Thank You, Thinking of you, Celebrate, on and on.....................
one of each in a set!!!........................ 
3 Sets are sold, going as surprise gifts, which I should be mailing Wednesday. Should be fun for them!
On with the job hunt at our home this week....... praying the perfect position pop in our path!

Toddler Beanie

Just finished this adorable baby blue Beanie with cotton lace & ribbon unique flower.  Flower is securely sewn on.   Fits 1 - 2 years

Flower is all hand sewn! Embellishment is attached with strong adhesive. To make a flower similar, gather a 12 inch piece of lace loosely, forming the shape you wish. While hand sewing the lace in place, fit in loops of your favorite ribbon. I like to add a few loops on the bottom of flower as well you could attach a base for a pin back. This base is usually a circle of heavier fabric either sewn or glued down using a good fabric adhesive! TaDaa!!! Your flower is done!

Weekend is here, again!

Another week gone by,  still job hunting .... is there an end to the tunnel? 

I do wish we were getting company this weekend,  BUT meanwhile, I do have a small order for handmade tags which I shall be working on this weekend ........  and a collection of handmade organza and satin flowers, with beaded centers to continue working on.  A new style of flower which I am excited about, each to be created into a unique brooch!

Tags!

Eighteen new sets of Tags will be listed in Paper2Roses over the next few day.  Some of the sets include Thankyou, Friends, Dream, Chickadee bird, Owl and many more.   Some have vintage looking ribbons, satin ribbons, hemp string and cotton string.   All tags have a distressed ink edge with the image or quote being stamped in black. 

 

Listing Time!

Well, on with the Listing of new items in both SnuggliMumCreations and Paper2Roses.  I have many new items and working of finishing up a few.  Still getting my sewing corner, so it always set up and ready to go.   This will be nice to not have to put stuff away after each project.

Lots of new little beanies and blankets in SnuggliMumCreations, as well as hair accessories.

In my Paper2Roses Shop, lots more die cuts, sets of stamped cards and mini enclosure cards to be coming over the next few weeks.  Some more tags as well!!!

We are still on the job hunt here since our move,  but getting settled in nicely.   In the process this week of painting the hall and stairways....Brighten things up when spring finally arrives.  Had a tiny touch of snow last nite, but it appears to be all melting now.

Up for sale with be handmade crocheted little Baby Doll Bassinetts with accessories,  an array of infant and childrens beanies, hair accessories, receiving blankets as well a fleece, with my decorative crocheted edging. 
~~~we're still on the job hunt here, with a few ideas, but no results as yet....  more positive thinking!!!

Handmade flowers soon to be listed!!

Heres a peek at some different handmade paper flowers! I've been getting flower packaging done, on my breaks. Most are 5 -7 layers, glued, and misted with glimmer mist. Delightful for scrapbooking, card making and your altered art projects.
These are Paper2Roses latest! They are slightly dimensional, making them great for altered projects. Cards would be best for hand delivering, but some of mine have made it thru the mail, needing only minor petal lifting!

A NewYear!!! Hope yours was Great!

A New Year!!! ~~~definitely new beginnings for us! We finally found a wonderful place to call home!!!, the medical and surgery follow-ups are complete! What a fantastic feeling!!!

The job hunting continues at our home. Yes, Feeling the need to be out with people....have free days on Tues, Wed, Thurs! The laptops have been buzzing, but so far anything does not pay enough! There does seem to be a lot of retail out there........with my sales, I have confidence!

Soon as the unpacking is done and my studio set up, I will open both Etsy's
I've missed everyone so much!

A very Happy Christmas full of surprises.  We are all on the mend now,  the little one brought us all alot of fun times and laughes........  We all know at this family what Baby Alive is.  Our little grand daughters wish!  It was all very funny with lots of giggles at every phrase that came out of this little dolls mouth .... who would have imagined this doll..... Her eyes are kinda creepy the way they just pop open after she's been sleeping.  But she delighted our Alyssa, thats whats important.   I will try post some photos this afternoon.

Onward, come our search for a new place to call home,  which I truly hope we will find the perfect place soon.  I continue my search.......... Meanwhile,  I'm working on my pastel wavey afghan,  I have so much to do on it. Want to have some new creations when I re-open my Etsy Shops!

December is flying by!

The days are clearly not long enough..... my healing is going great, very thankful for that!  I did make it to the birthday party, which was alot of fun for the lil' kiddo's. 

I'm getting an aweful lot of crocheting done, being I am on R & R.  I definitely am not a good one for sitting around like this,  but I am listening to my Dr.

Here are a few of my latest creations.  And yes, I have knit a few more Sashay scarves, but won't bore you with that.  Each of my baby bassinett creations is different and unique, most will come with a canopy you can leave up or fold down as is your choice, a mini diaper bag with 3 or 4 wash cloths, a sleeping bag, a lil' blankie & pillow.  Each will come with a change pad that is either square waffle style or an oval shape that will double as a mattress pad.  The oval is made so that the sides roll up a bit so the tiny baby does not roll out.  My grand-daughters idea! All of my creations are very securely made for lots of fun activity with your little one.  Also great for the collector, looks wonderful sitting on a display shelf.

This afternoons project is working on the new mint green and pink baby bassinett as well as making some lil tiny cloth baby dolls!  I have to design the pattern and do a few trial runs, but am looking forward to it....

Hope everyone is taking "time" to grab a cuppa Tea or a nice Vanilla Latte, in the middle of the Christmas hustle and bustle!

Cute Story from yesterday!

Yesterday it was a pretty drive to PLC. The last of my surgeries was here...
Yes, anxious I was, after a 3 hr wait in the holding/prepping area, it was time to roll. Hubby had been with me, but I was wanting to see my son before going in!
There he was, me trying to speak quicky to him as we are just rolling across the hall to the surgical suite....he's calling to me. "Mom, look, ELLEN's ON" as he points to the tv/waiting room!! Of course everyone is chuckling. I only got a glimpse, but did see Ellen for a brief moment (thank heavens it was not at a commercial!!!)
I did go down the hall.....the very long hall i might add, but that "moment in time" took away some of my anxiousness! Thankful for lapiscopic method, I am home to recover, instead of being in a week! Will I make it to the birthday party on Saturday?!? Time will tell! Hubby's surgery is a week before Christmas, then hopefully we can find a place to rent, get our stuff outta storage and move forward!
2012 has been a tough one...... No tree for us this year, but thankful for family we have!

Upcoming Birthday Party!

Well, our grand daughter turns 8 on Christmas Eve! Brings back memories!
She is so excited about her birthday which Auntie & Uncle are hosting for her in just a week! Here are a few things I have been working on for the party. The girls will be doing their nails, putting on rings and things, all things sparkly and nice! At each place setting for nail time they will have a pink face cloth presented rolled with a candy necklace, they can nibble during manicures!
I made some ribbon wands for them to dance around with while wearing a cute beaded tie-on purple ribbon necklace. Should look good with their painted fingers! We have 18 colors and 3 nail art from the Polka Dot collection in green, orange and pink! Should be colorful! Oh I almost forgot we have Girlie Nails "nail art" decals. Should be lots of fun!
The menu is "make your own pizza" and I've made some beautiful butterfly straws!
I sure hope I'm feeling better, so I can join in the fun and help out! It should be a crazy, busy, fun day!!! I remember the days when we gave our kids the party, now its their turn!
